My iPhone 4S is acting very strange and its even turning off by itself most of the time. My fried suggested that I have to bring it to Apple to have someone look at it but I'm afraid that I might pay for the service cause I have this iPhone for more than a year now and might already be out of warranty but I'm not sure.

contact apple's tech support first and seek for assistance. if unresolved, you may be required to bring it to the nearest service center but not sure if you will be charged. i believe warranties/replacements are done where you purchased it.
