About LinkBacksI can't freaking wait to get a hold of one of these Google Voice accounts. I've seen everything it has to offer but don't know anyone that actually has an account or has gotten an invite. A guy I used to work with had a Grand Central account and swore by it which I guess is still about the same thing.
Anyone have a first hand review? Is it as cool as it looks?
btw- if anyone wants to gift me an invite I'll love you forever.

I got my invite last week and I love the service. I think the Grand Central acquisition was a genius move by Google.

The service is an online phone number that has many management features and options. You can direct incoming calls to any of your numbers of all of them as well as make very cheap long distance calls using the number.
The service was originally created by a company called Grand Central which Google acquired a few years ago.

It has been about a month since I started using Google Voice (the relaunched service formerly known as GrandCentral) and I am impressed. I am always reluctant to use superlatives, but Google's spin on a 'one number' service is far and away the best implementation I have seen so far. It has the potential to be a game changer on several levels.

I'd not heard of this before and now I've looked it up I know why! Why are we not getting this in the UK? It sounds fantastic! Come on google, bring it to the UK!

I think it only works for US. Unfortunately, I live in canada...
