there are plans to make all phone manufacturers ship there phones with a standard phone charger that works across all brands, i think this is a great idea but will take time to implement.
what do you think about his idea, do you imagine any problems with rolling this out to the consumer.

From what I've heard its going to happen. Sure there will be problems but it's a massive step in the right direction.

I think thats a great idea as everyone will have the same brand chargers and this will help every manufacturer to reduce the cost of its expense in terms of buying raw materials. In addition to that, every manufacturer may not need to fulfil the requirement of its customer as each of them produces standardized products. However, there will be less competition between manufacturers and intergration of manufacturers will lead to monopoly. When monopoly is declared, then absorption costing will be adopted which means the charger will be expensive. No matter what customers may likely to buy the product despite of its costly price and every customer doesn't have any option of product.
