How To Configure IMAP & POP3 Email Accounts On Motorola DROID
Setting up IMAP and POP3
Setting up IMAP and POP3 both follow the same method as described in this guide. Therefore, for the purposes of avoiding redundancy and implementing convenience, only POP3 will be mentioned along the way.
- Begin by turning on the phone and opening the application menu.
- Tap on the email icon.
- When prompted, enter the email and password and then hit next.
- On the side, there should be the following choices:
- POP3 Account
- IMAP Account
- Exchange Account
- Select POP3 Account.
- Enter the username, password, POP3 server and port where it is requested. The POP3 server will probably look something like pop3.domain.com by default.
- By clicking security type, another menu should come up listing various security options. Select between None, SSL and TLS.
- Another option is to select when to delete emails in the server. The two options are Never and When I Delete From Inbox.
- Tap Next.
- Enter the STMP outgoing settings. This will consist of the SMTP server, port, as well as the same security options again.
- Be sure to check Require Sign-In if the email requires signing in in order to compose and send an email.
- Determine how often the Droid should check for new mail and check off to be notified when it arrives.
- Lastly, simply provide a name for the account. With this, email will begin to synchronize. By going into Account Settings, some things may be edited, such as the following:
- Account name
- Your name
- Email check frequency
- Default account (make the current account the default email account on your DROID)
- Email notifications
- Select Ringtone
- Vibrate
- Incoming settings (to modify IMAP or POP3 server settings)
- Outgoing settings (to modify SMTP server settings)

How To Setup Up Exchange Email, Calendar & Contact Sync on Motorola DROID
The Motorola Droid contains a number of features and is known for its convenient and helpful office capabilities, such as Microsoft exchange based email, a calendar and synchronization of contacts. Despite its basis on Google services, it is indeed possible to set up Microsoft exchange based services. This article aims to provide simple instructions that anybody could follow with ease.

- Enter the email and password and continue.
- Three options should be listed on the side: POP3 account, IMAP account and Exchange Account.
- Select Exchange Account.
- Prompting for a Domain/Username, Password and Exchange Server Information should arise. Enter in all the information. The Exchange Server Info would typically be, for example, the syntaxname@company.com
- Also remember to check the box next toUse Secure Connection (SSL)

How To Use The Google Voice Search Application
Using the Google Voice Search application is simple and easy, even for those who are not as technologically advanced. As long as these steps are followed, it is impossible to go wrong when using this voice search application for the Droid phone.
- In order to start the Google Voice Search application, you will need to find the magnifying glass that is at your Droid’s home screen. Since the Droid phone has a touch screen, all you need to do is press this button. The magnifying glass will take you to the Google Search bar.
- After you have gone to the Google Search bar, try to find the microphone icon. Press this icon using the touch screen.
- From here you will be asked to speak. In order to use the voice search application correctly you will have to say “Call”, then the name of your contact.
- If you speak clearly and the application understands you, it will begin to call the contact you asked for. Be sure to speak clearly because if you do not, you will be misunderstood and left feeling frustrated.

How To Use the Voice Dialer Application
The Voice Dialer Application has already been stored on your Droid phone. It is safe to say that this is the original application for voice dialing. Because of this, it has been built specifically to match your Droid phone. This application is easier to use than the Google Voice Search application.
- Unfortunately, it is not on the home page of your phone, and you will need to search for it. It will be under the “Applications” menu.
- After you have opened your Droid’s Voice Dialer Application, you will need to say “Call” and the name of your contact.
This is slightly different from the Google Voice Search application. After you speak your commands you will be shown a list of contacts that were similar to the contact that you named. This application will save you more time than you would save if you were using the Google Voice Search Application. Instead of calling the contact it thought you said, the Droid’s Voice Dialer application gives you a list.

These information given by you is really nice, awesome, I really like all these information, I think that the Droid utilizes an Arm Cortex 550mHz A8 processor with 256MB of built-in memory. It has a 16GB microSD card and can be expanded to 32GB.
